Your pallet procurement checklist

Get a useful quotation by matching the pallet to your load, receiving site and required condition.

Confirm the specification

Share your internal pallet specification, load distribution, receiving equipment and cleanliness requirements. Material or heat treatment alone does not establish suitability for a controlled production area.

Share the order and delivery details

Send the quantity (minimum 100), delivery country and postcode, preferred date and unloading equipment. For regular supply, include your expected order frequency.

Check customer acceptance

Confirm your customer’s pallet, hygiene and handling requirements. Final availability, specification, price and delivery are agreed in the written quotation.

The quoted price depends on the format, condition, quantity, treatment and delivery requirements.

Quick answer: The chemical industry uses CP pallets: nine standard formats from CP1 (1000 × 1200 mm) to CP9 (1140 × 1140 mm). Bags usually travel on CP1 or CP6, drums and octabins on CP3 or CP9. FRAMPAL supplies CP pallets in bulk from 100 pallets, heat-treated on request for export.

Why pallet quality matters in chemicals

Chemical products are often heavy and sometimes hazardous. A broken board under a drum can cause a spill, and a pallet that is a few millimetres off can stop an automated line. That is why chemical producers work with fixed CP formats and check incoming pallets for dimensions, moisture and damage.

Since 2018, EPAL also certifies CP pallets, which gives buyers an independent quality reference.

Chemical industry pallet questions

What pallets does the chemical industry use?
Mainly CP pallets, nine standard formats (CP1 to CP9) defined for chemicals and plastics. CP1 and CP3 are among the most common.
Which pallet is best for chemical drums?
Square pallets such as CP3 or CP9 (1140 × 1140 mm) fit four 200-litre drums and are the usual choice.
Do you supply heat-treated CP pallets?
Yes, on request. CP pallets for exports outside the EU can be heat-treated and marked under ISPM 15.
What is the minimum order?
We supply from 100 pallets.
