Quick answer: CP pallets (CP1 to CP9) are standardised wooden pallets for chemical and plastics products. Each type has fixed dimensions, from CP5 (760 × 1140 mm) to CP4 and CP7 (1100 × 1300 mm), so automated plants and warehouses can handle them. FRAMPAL supplies CP pallets in bulk from 100 pallets.

Why the chemical industry uses CP pallets

Chemical and plastics plants run automated conveyors, palletisers and high-bay warehouses. These systems need pallets with exact dimensions and a predictable bottom deck. The CP standard fixes both, so a CP3 pallet from one supplier behaves the same as a CP3 from another.

CP pallets are built heavier than a standard euro pallet, with more boards and stronger blocks. Many chemical producers require CP pallets for bagged polymers, powders, drums and big bags. Since 2018, EPAL also certifies CP pallets under its quality scheme.

CP pallet questions

What does CP stand for?

CP stands for Chemical Pallet. The nine CP types were defined by the European chemical and plastics industry to standardise pallets for automated handling.

What is the difference between CP1 and a euro pallet?

A CP1 pallet measures 1000 × 1200 × 138 mm, which is 200 mm wider than a euro pallet (1200 × 800 mm). It is also built for the heavier, bagged loads typical of the chemical industry.

Which CP pallet is best for drums?

Drums and octabins usually go on square pallets: CP3 (1140 × 1140 × 138 mm) or CP9 (1140 × 1140 × 156 mm). CP9 has a perimeter bottom deck that works well on conveyors and in racks.

Are CP pallets heat-treated?

Not by default. On request, we supply CP pallets heat-treated and marked under ISPM 15 for exports outside the EU.

What is the minimum order?

We supply from 100 pallets per order.
